We have realized some confusion among some of our customers regarding mowing.
We DO NOT recommend mowing right Before we make an application to your lawn. Many of the products we use suggest no mowing 2 days before and 2 days after an application.
Also regarding mower clippings, you should NOT be bagging or removing the clippings; unless it’s absolutely necessary.
We are quickly entering late spring/early summer and you need to be on the lookout for lawn disease.
Some disease/fungus can take hold and really impact the appearance of your turf; as well as sometimes kill off areas if left unattended.
A lot of times disease can be confused with other issues such as heat or drought stress and brown tip or tip dieback (caused by dull mower blades).
If you notice something in your turf that looks unusual and your not sure why, give us a call or email us so we can offer our expert opinion as to what is actually going on with your turf.
We may need to make a fungicide application to help with an outbreak or recommend some adjustments to your cultural practices.
